Mayor Hazen S. Pingree (1890-1897), was a champion for the Detroiter and enemy of monopoly and corruption. Our bold Red Label Bourbon matches his audacity, combining sweet corn, spicy rye, and subtle malt for a well-rounded character that showcases the artistry of its aging process. The Red Label offers one of the highest-end straight bourbons produced by a craft distillery in the U.S. Exceptional barrels of our own Ferndale, MI triple pot-distilled bourbon meet the finest Lawrenceburg, IN traditional column-distilled bourbon casks to create a spirit with a silky, satisfying mouthfeel, intense fruit notes, and dramatic flavors that vary slightly from batch to batch.

Pingree Batch A 'Alina' is a tribute to someone who is not only inspiring, but was integral to the early success of Valentine Distilling. She is the embodiment of the American dream. Alina left her home country as a teenager with only the clothes on herback, initially working as a dishwasher in return for room and board. She taught herself English while working many thankless jobs for little return, besides the opportunity to stay in the country.
22 years later, Alina has built a business empire. She is one of the most successful business women in SE Michigan and is living proof that the American dream is still alive. Let’s raise our glass to all of the Alinas chasing, and catching, their dreams
